For you that may have small or inquistive kids around...

OK, let me get this straight. My wife &/or my self wind up in a tense, adrenaline filled, life & death situation in our home @ 2:30 in the morning. Where there is only a matter of "seconds" to assess & respond to the situation. Seem's it would go something like this.... Startled awake, grab weapon, "CLICK", Oh shitt, Hang on a sec Mr, bad guy, I have to jam this metal rod down my barrel then cycle my action a couple time so I have a live round?????
I like the idea, but IMHO, totally not practical in a defense situation, & kids, I think there are better ways of dealing with that. without compromising my means of survival.... IMHO

I'm with Larry, there is no way in hell that I'm going to be fiddle fucking around at O dark 30 with safety ammo, push rod and a locked up gun. Loaded weapons are a way of life at my house, my mil-surp rifles aren't loaded but everything else is, it's not advisable clearing a house with a three and a half foot long Nagant...LOL. Woe be tide the fool who tries the home invasion at Casa de Hampster, unless they bring an RPG, I got it covered!

Change that you can truly believe in comes from the barrel of a gun!

You got that right Hamp!!
Unless there's a lot of them, & there way better armed, aware, trained, & Way, Way, Way more determined that Lisa & I are, they better have an RPG or LAWS, that's the only chance they have at Casa De Geezer!!!
