DENVER -- Paul Stastny was slumping and frustrated with his scoring drought. David Bingham Jersey . Facing the Dallas Stars helped clear that up for the Colorado Avalanche centre. Stastny scored twice and added two assists and the Avalanche beat the Dallas Stars 6-2 on Monday night. Erik Johnson and Andre Benoit also scored in a four-goal second period, and Nathan MacKinnon and Tyson Barrie scored for Colorado. Stastny hadnt notched a point since Nov. 19, when he had a goal and assist against Chicago. The scoring drought grew to nine games before he put together one of his best periods of his career. "I always put pressure on myself," Stastny said. "Of anyone I was probably the most frustrated. Whether I show it or not, you guys wont see it." It was a familiar feeling for Stastny, who had a two-goal game against the Stars on Nov. 1. The lone hat trick of his career came against Dallas on Oct. 3, 2007. His breakout couldnt have come at a better time for him or his team, which has struggled to score lately. "I feel like that, especially for Stast," said forward P.A. Parenteau, who tied a career high with three assists. "We were on the puck the last few games and couldnt get it done. The confidence was low for a couple of guys and its tough on you. Youre playing decent hockey and youre not rewarded." Tyler Seguin had a goal and an assist and Kevin Connauton scored his first NHL goal for the Stars, who have dropped three of the past four. Goalie Kari Lehtonen stopped 42 shots for Dallas in a rare poor start against Colorado. Lehtonen was 8-3-2 with a 2.52 goals-against average against the Avalanche before Monday. "That was pretty much us laying an egg," forward Jamie Benn said. "They came out strong and jumped all over us." The Avalanche outshot Dallas 21-10 in the first period, but managed just one goal against Lehtonen. It was a different story in the second. Stastny broke a 1-all tie when he knocked in Jamie McGinns tip pass 8:29 into the period for his ninth goal of the season. Benoit made it 3-1 when he pinched in from the blue line and blasted a shot through traffic past Lehtonen. Stastny scored again when he tipped a shot by Gabriel Landeskog in front of the net, and Johnson finished the run with a shot from the top of the right circle with 3 seconds left in the period to make it 5-1. Seguin scored early in the third, but Barries first goal of the season on Stastnys second assist made it 6-2. It was more than enough for the Avalanche, who improved to 3-0 against the Stars this season. Colorado scored six goals despite going 0 for 5 on the power play and failing to score on a pair of two-man advantages. "The power play was really good, to be honest. We had a lot of shots," Avalanche coach Patrick Roy said. "What else can you do? I dont want to over talk about the power play; tonight we didnt need the power play." The teams will play again in Dallas on Tuesday night. Colorado took a 1-0 lead midway through the first period when MacKinnon beat Lehtonen with a shot from the left circle. It was his seventh goal of the season. The Avalanche continued to get shots on Lehtonen, and had a chance to add to their lead when they had 1:26 of a two-man advantage. They couldnt convert, and moments after the Stars killed off Sergei Gonchars penalty, Matt Duchene was sent off for hooking. Connauton tied it on the ensuing 4-on-4 with 33 seconds left in the first. "I was elated," Connauton said. "The elation wore off pretty quick -- as quick as it took them to take over in the second period." Dallas nearly scored again with 12 seconds left, but Seguins shot from a sharp angle never crossed the goal line before resting on goalie Semyon Varlamovs back. Varlamov had 31 saves for Colorado. NOTES: Colorado D Ryan Wilson (back) was activated from the injured list, but did not return to the lineup. Wilson has missed 18 games after being injured Nov. 6 against Nashville. ... MacKinnon extended his points streak to four games. ... The 48 shots were the second most Lehtonen has faced this season. Chicago had 50 shots in a 4-3 loss to Dallas on Dec. 3. ... Colorados six goals tied a season high. Bobby Wood Jersey . Terry came from Boston along with Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce but has appeared in just 35 games after a knee injury, averaging 4.5 points on 36 per cent shooting. Evans was a favourite of fans but not coach Jason Kidd, who used him in just 30 of their 51 games. Steve Birnbaum Jersey .com) - Kam Chancellor bobbed his head in celebration as he crossed the goal line on his game-clinching 90-yard interception return. http://www.usasoccerauthority.com/darlington-nagbe-usa-jersey/ . Rangers goalie Henrik Lundqvist stood tall with 41 saves between the pipes, but it was defenceman Ryan McDonagh who got the first star of the game as he had a goal and an assist and now has two goals and four assists for six points in two games.OTTAWA - The Toronto Maple Leafs fought hard through the last 40 minutes of Wednesdays game. But it was the first 20 that did them in.The Ottawa Senators scored three times in the first period and held on for a 4-3 win to send the Maple Leafs to the all-star break on a six-game losing streak.I scratch my head when I talk about that first period again, said Torontos interim head coach Peter Horachek. That was totally done by ourselves, to ourselves, to a team that played (Tuesday) night. We wanted to play more like we played in the second and third period and come out with some energy and put more pucks to the net and create more chances, but its a strange situation so weve got to correct that for sure.Toronto is now 1-7 under Horachek and has just three wins in its last 17 games.Erik Karlsson scored twice to lead the Senators (19-18-9), who were coming off a 3-2 overtime loss in New York on Tuesday night, while Mike Hoffman and Mika Zibanejad also scored. Craig Anderson stopped 37 shots.Nazem Kadri, David Clarkson and James van Riemsdyk replied for the Leafs (22-23-3). James Reimer made 22 saves and lost for just the second time in his career at Canadian Tire Centre (8-2-0).We just have to keep trying to move forward, said Kadri. Thats really all we can do is try and stay positive and we just have to play with that desperation through 60 minutes instead of 40 or 45.Added Reimer: We didnt have a good start. Obviously you cant get down 3-0 and then expect to win in this league. I thought we did a great job of battling back and working hard in the last 40 minutes, but just ended up falling a bit short.Toronto made things interesting for the 18,894 on hand as Kadri scored a power-play goal at 2:36 of the third period. Kadri took a pass from Morgan Rielly and beat a screened Anderson to make it 3-2.The Leafs did their best to score the equalizer, but were unable to create any real solid scoring chances, and with less than five minutes remaining in regulation, Karlsson scored his second of the night to make it 4-2. Milan Michalek grabbed the puck behind the net and found Karlsson jjust inside the blue-line and he beat Reimer glove side. Lee Nguyen Jersey. Van Riemsdyk scored at 18:37 to again pull Toronto to within a goal, but thats the closest the Leafs would get.It was a big win for us, said Anderson. We make sure the fans get everything they pay for when we make it close at the end.I had confidence in the guys that we were going to get the job done, added Anderson. We made sure that we got the puck out of our zone to end the game and thats huge for us to get some confidence heading into the break. We can come back hopefully feeling good about ourselves and we can continue to play well. The Maple Leafs had a better second period but were only able to beat Anderson once. Clarkson, with just his second goal in 20 games, got the Leafs on the board at the 13-minute mark of the period. The Senators nearly regained the three-goal lead late in the period, but Reimer was able to stop a 2-on-1 to keep the Leafs within reach.Toronto had an opportunity to score in the opening minutes of the game as Phil Kessel had a breakaway, but shot wide of the net. Less than a minute later Mark Stone, who extended his point streak to seven games with an assist (2G, 6A), fed Hoffman at centre ice and he beat Reimer with a shot under the crossbar.Midway through the first period, Karlsson scored his 10th goal of the season following a great give-and-go with Hoffman. The Senators capped the period scoring on a delayed penalty call as Bobby Ryan found Zibanejad all alone. We came out strong and definitely got the advantage right off the hop, said Hoffman. We knew they were going to come back and make a strong push. They got a few, we got a few and our goalie played well.At the end of the day (we) just stuck with it and played for 60 minutes and came out with the two points.Notes: D Chris Phillips, C Colin Greening and C David Legwand were healthy scratches. C Zack Smith (wrist) and D Mark Borowiecki (leg) remain sidelined for the Senators. Toronto D Stephane Robidas and D Korbinian Holzer were healthy scratches, while Leo Komarov remains sidelined with a lower body injury.
